The idea of adventure always seemed impossible. It appeared to be something that only those with tons of means could endure. If I’m brutally honest, my family and I are firmly in the middle class, and we just don’t have many disposable funds. We have to plan, and for years, this seemed so HARD.
But that mindset had to go!
For this girl, adventuring is experiencing, and experiencing is living to the fullest. So, I seek it out every chance I can. Adventures mean more than travelling to someplace new and far away (although I do a bit of that!) Instead, it's finding sanctuary in the pages of a well-worn book (or my Kindle with a blanket), creating cozy moments that make ordinary days feel special, and heading to a small town near home for a one-of-a-kind weekend experience. It's about embracing slow living – those quiet morning rituals with a cup of tea, losing track of time while reading by candlelight, and savoring the simple pleasures that give life its richness. It's about all the moments that give you a different perspective and a deep appreciation for the world around you.
Carry on, Britt, it is my space as much as it is yours. It started as a way to discuss all the fun places I've traveled to, spout off my Disney fangirl love, and share them with those around me. Yet, it's morphed into more. A whole lifestyle with a mixture of passions – from getting lost in stories to creating peaceful spaces at home – and I'm excited to share it and where it will take me (and my carry-on) next!
