Eating at Cafe Orleans

Everyone has travel traditions, Cafe Orleans is ours.

Disneyland means New Orleans Square with Pirates of the Carribean, views of Sailing Ship Colombia, and of course my beloved Haunted Mansion, but it also means Cafe Orleans. This quaint little restaurant has adorable outdoor seating facing the rivers of America and jazz music playing just on the other side. It’s a vibe that transports you.

More than anything for my forever travel buddy, it boats the Monte Cristo sandwich. Trust me, if your a meat eater or a cheese fan, get this sandwich! I say Disney l? He says MY SANDWICH. The Monte Cristo is battered and fried in this flavorful coating served with Garlicy Pomme Frittes, Remulaude, and preserves, it’s simply delicious. For you vegan friends like me, the French Onion Risotto does not disappoint. It’s warm, creamy, and chocked full of mushrooms and pearl onions, simply devine. Then OF Course to wash it all down, get some Mint Juleps. Our lovely waitress even kept refilling them for us. A true delight.

Let me just make a point to say, if you get the sandwich SHARE it. Everytime the warm goodness takes over and no one I’m with wants to share leaving them overly full. Afterwards they looked like they were immediately placed in a happy food coma. Sharing is caring, you’ve been warned. Still… get the sandwich!
